Remove "user cannot change password"
Hello! I've managed to solve my problem through an exploit I've read about over the web. With the help of the windows DVD I replaced utilman.exe with cmd.exe and then, on the ctrl+alt+del, after restarting the machine, i did a ctrl+u which opened a command prompt with administrative rights. From there I managed to add a user to the local admin group and login. The stupid thing is... the problem was on how I was writing the username. It was Administrador instead of Administrator, as after sysprep I chose a different language than the one I had. I now know that windows changes everything, even users, when changing languages. Thanks.

Hello all, I've syspreped a windows server 2008 R2 and the admin account had "User cannot change password" checked. Issue: I didn't know\forgot to check that sysprep checks "user must change password at next logon". So I can't login to the machine. Is there any way i can remove that check? Is it possible through Safe Mode? Thanks!

Hi, You can use Microsoft Diagnostics and Recovery Toolset (DaRT) to recovery your OS option. The 14 tools in the toolset provide many options for recovery, even when Windows Safe Mode or normal boot will not function. The easy-to-use, offline boot environment helps IT teams quickly restart computers. They can recover deleted files and remove malware from infected systems while the computer is offline. This helps protect other computers on the network and reduces the amount of time the computer is unavailable.
